Club Membership
SM&LC Membership is open to all.
For reasons of safety, all prospective Full Members must first demonstrate their knowledge of lapidary and the machinery used. Those new to lapidary must undergo our BASIC LAPIDARY COURSE where the relevant training will be given.
Once a persons ability has been demonstrated, they can Enrol as a Full Member and be able to use the lapidary workshop unassisted. Training in other areas such as Faceting and Silverwork is given to members as requested.
The types of membership available for the Club are:
- Full Member (adult) …………………..£216
- Junior Member (under 16)………….£72
- Associate …………………………………..£20
These prices are annual and compare favourably to night class fees, especially since and we are open virtually all year. Special/temporary memberships are offered by committee discretion.

1 – Existing Member Renewal – already a full member and wish to renew?

This form should be filled out by existing Full or Associate members who wish to renew their annual membership if you have not received one by post or in the club.

2 – New Member Application – Joining after completing training course.
Just completed our Lapidary Course and wish to become a full member?

Please be advised people wishing to join for the first time must complete a Basic Lapidary Course.

If you have just finished the Basic Lapidary Course then you only need to renew for the remaining quarters of the year once your 3 months temporary membership is complete.
