We are planning a weekend field trip to Montrose which will allow us to visit a number of excellent sites nearby.
The intention is to camp at the south links holiday park at Montrose over the weekend (see link below for bookings)

Some will go up on the Friday with others making the trip up on the Saturday morning.
Those who do not wish to camp will find plenty of guest houses and B&B’s available around Montrose and surrounding area.
The trip is intended to be an informal event and as much a bit of a social get together as it is a serious collecting trip.
Planned visits may include Auchmithie, Scurdie Ness, Lunan Bay, Elephant Rock, Usan and anywhere else in the area that we fancy.
